The structure of our state association is now geared for more involvement of you, the membership! The bylaws have been reformatted to AHIMA guidelines and are based on their feedback and approval.
In explanation, our 17 districts are now consolidated into 4 regions. (See District/Region Activities link on the left to view the map for your region and district listing by county.) The district associations are not affected by this change.
Region 1: Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 14, and 15.
Region 2: Districts 13 and 16.
Region 3: Districts 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.
Region 4: Districts 5, 6, 7, and 17.
Each region is served by a Region Director (elected position) and committees: Education, Convention, Legislative, and Member Relations. The Region Directors appoint committee chairs and each chair will appoint committee members (with Directors approval).
The Region Director roles and responsibilities are outlined in the job description. Education, Convention, Legislative, and Member Relations will be assigned on a rotational basis to a Region Director. Committee assignments will be outlined in policies and procedures.
Each year, we will elect president-elect, and two Region Directors on an alternating basis.
