Alexa Poole, HIT & HIE Pro and Consultant for Gulf Coast Regional Extension Center presents this webinar on 2017 Meaningful Use and the 2017 Advancing Care Information requirements under MIPS, which replaces Meaningful Use for Medicare providers.

Alexa Poole is a Health IT Consultant for the Gulf Coast Regional Extension Center. In this position, she consults providers in achieving meaningful use. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin. She also holds a Health Information Technology Management and Exchange Specialist Certification from the Health Information Summer Program at the University of Texas at Austin and a Texas Business Foundations Program-Global Track Certification from the McCombs School of Business. Prior to joining the GCREC, Alexa worked for eClinicalWorks as a software training specialist, assisting providers in the implementation and go-live stages in the transition to electronic health records. She has experience in electronic health records, practice management, and work flow design.

If you cannot attend the event, you may provide a substitute or cancel your reservation.

Cancellations must be in writing and received before 10 days prior to the event. You may either fax (512-607-6437) or e-mail The entire registration fee will be retained by TxHIMA for cancellations received after the cancellation date. A $25.00 cancellation fee will be retained by TxHIMA for cancellations received prior to the registration date.



Registration is limited to the first 200 registrants.

Please note: All TxHIMA webinars are available on-demand. This means that webinars will be recorded and sent out to all who have registered, even if they register after the webinar has occurred, or if they cannot make the time and date set for the live webinar.

When you register online, you will have the option to pay by mail with a check or pay online with a credit card (AMEX, MasterCard, Visa, or Discover).

If you are paying by check, select “mail a check” under payment options. You will later see instructions to print the confirmation page and mail your payment to KnowledgeConnex. The mailing address will be on the invoice. Make your check payable to KnowledgeConnex and include the confirmation/order number with the check. Checks that do not reference the confirmation number will be returned to you and will not be applied to the registration.
